Twenty years of EICT is a special milestone, a time to look back, celebrate achievements, and look ahead. To mark the occasion, we came together on the island of Usedom for one and a half days in a setting far removed from our daily routines, creating space for exchange, fresh perspectives and meaningful conversations.
The event began at a beach bar with a look back at EICT’s history. Tanja took us on a journey through 20 years of EICT, reflecting on key milestones in our development.
After breakfast on Thursday, the agenda featured a workshop on Artificial Intelligence. For us, one thing is certain: AI has long become part of everyday working life, both at EICT and across many of our partner organizations. This time, however, the focus was not on the technology itself, but on its practical value. Which AI tools can best support project management, proposal writing, research projects, program activities, and communications? How can they be adapted to our specific context, and where can they create real added value? We exchanged experiences, discussed concrete use cases, and explored how rapidly methods and skill requirements are evolving.
In this unique setting on the Baltic Sea, we generated new ideas and impulses for EICT’s future work. The atmosphere was shaped by a sense of momentum and togetherness, perfectly reflecting our guiding principle: Moving Tomorrow’s Mobility.
Later that afternoon, the entire team set out on a group hike in summer temperatures of 33°C. Various activities centered around teamwork, creativity, action and communication were regularly complemented by refreshing dips in the sea. Once again, it became clear just how diverse EICT is. Different personalities, skills and experiences come together to form a strong whole. Speed and dynamism meet calmness and precision; openness meets clarity. It is precisely this diversity that makes us successful. It enables us to develop the best solutions in an agile environment and implement them with enthusiasm.
We rounded off the evening by watching a World Cup match together, exchanging thoughts, discussing current topics and cheering along. It was a fitting conclusion to a set of inspiring days.
