Autonomous driving (AD) technology is one of the most promising technologies with great potential - for society, for road safety and for Europe as a business location. In recent years, a significant research community has developed around the topic, which is also reflected in a large number of start-ups and major investments in the automotive industry.

The closer the technology gets to real-world deployment, the more important it becomes to ensure scalability of artificial intelligence (AI). With the workshop "Embedded and Real-World Computer Vision in Autonomous Driving", the KI Delta Learning project helps to focus on real-world applications and discuss new research questions. The workshop will take place virtually on as part of the ICCV event - International Computer Vision Event – in Montréal, Canada. The date will be announced soon.

The partners of the research project call on leading representatives of science, start-ups and the automotive industry to present and discuss current research results and AD trends. KI Delta Learning thus fulfils its role as a methodological lighthouse project and promotes the resulting development of new AD functions.

The KI Delta Learning project is a research project of the KI Familie and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy with €15.87 million. It started in 2020 and explores methods of effective machine learning with the aim of enabling a more efficient and unrestricted use of artificial intelligence in automated vehicles.  

EICT GmbH is responsible for project management and dissemination of results in this project. This also includes the communicative support and dissemination of the event on the various project channels (KI Delta Learning project website, Twitter, LinkedIn).
