How can highly automated driving be made safer? This was the central question of the interim presentation of KI Absicherung, the largest project of the KI Familie, held on 11^th March 2021 online to an audience of 250 participants.

In the KI Absicherung project, a stringent and provable safety argumentation is being set up for the first time, with which AI-based function modules (AI-modules) can be secured and validated for highly automated driving.

EICT GmbH is responsible for project management and dissemination of results in this project. This also includes the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the interim presentation, for which EICT GmbH was largely responsible.

In the first part of the interim presentation, the project progress was presented by the coordinators and sub-project leaders, followed by a Q&A session. In the second part of the event, 11 parallel topic sessions provided deeper insights into different aspects of the current project work.

The interactive Veertly tool selected by EICT GmbH enabled the parallel sessions to run smoothly and offered a number of features that benefited the participants.

The event was very well received and was rated very positively by the participants in a final survey.
