L3Pilot Showcase 2 successfully performed

While the L3Pilot cars are driving on public roads, L3Pilot partners held their second Showcase in conjunction with the 2019 Annual EUCAR Reception and Conference in Brussels, Belgium, on 6-7 November 2019. L3Pilot partners presented the project as main exhibitor to the high-level audience from politics and industry.

For two days, Autoworld Museum turned into a place of future mobility visions celebrating the 25th anniversary of the organization. Please find the press release of the event 2019 here (→external link).

L3Pilot partners displayed 11 vehicles fully equipped with automated driving systems. This exhibition was completed by a cyber-security demonstration and simulation. EICT supported the organization of the showcase.

Anja Beuster, EICT, presented a video on future business scenarios for AD and invited to discuss them. The EICT Senior Innovation Manager had been preparing the scenarios based on partners’ input and in several focus groups. Finally, EICT realized a video based on the stories. The video inspires to see possible ways of the development of AD systems until the year 2030 by taking into account different level of technological progress and societal acceptance of new mobility and driving technologies. Coordinator Aria Etemad, Volkswagen, presented intermediate achievements of L3Pilot focusing on:

  • The draft Code of Practice for the development of automated driving functions
  • Initial results from the International Annual User Survey
