Dr. Udo Bub studied electrical engineering and information technology at Technische Universität München, and computer science at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
 
Following his PhD he worked for 6 years as management and technology consultant in the telecommunications industry.
 
From 2004 on he dedicated himself to the establishment of the newly founded Deutsche Telekom laboratories in the position of Vice President Innovation Development.

 
In addition to this he took over the CEO position of EICT in May, 2007. His personal research interests are in the area of human-machine communication as well as software and systems engineering.
