Announcement: eCo-FEV Final Event in Grenoble, France
On May 22, 2015, eCo-FEV performs the project’s final event on the Minatec campus in Grenoble, France. The eCo-FEV project aims to achieve a breakthrough by introducing Fully Electric Vehicles (FEVs) in everyday traffic. eCo-FEV enables precise Electric Vehicle telematics services and charging management services, which are based on reliable real time information. Demonstrations provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the eCo-FEV systems. Moreover, presentations and an exhibition will inform and discuss the results.
EICT is carrying out the operational management of the project and is part of the core management team. Moreover, EICT is responsible for all dissemination and exploitation activities as lead of the respective sub-project.
During the final event, connections and information exchange between multiple infrastructure systems relevant to the fully electric vehicle (FEV) will be presented. There is a focus on the interaction between road IT infrastructure, electric vehicle (EV) backend infrastructure and EV charging infrastructure. Therefore, innovative strategies like charge while driving (CWD) are included. The results of the project will help to assess the opportunities of the eCo-FEV approach concerning its economic viability and offer possible market perspectives.
The project was co-funded by the European Union with a total project volume of €4.3 million. Besides the project management, EICT supervises all activities related to planning and the presentation of results during the final event.
