Automated driving testing on European roads: Research project L3Pilot kicked off

| 120 senior experts on Automated Driving from across Europe met in Wolfsburg, Germany kicking off a joint undertaking to bring automated in-vehicle technologies to European roads. In the next four years all major European automotive manufacturers have joint forces with suppliers and researchers in a research project of a total budget of nearly 70 million Euros to test and evaluate automated driving functions of SAE Levels 3 and 4 all across Europe. read more

L3Pilot: Europe's pilot for automated driving will start in late summer

| The first broad-based pilot test for automated driving on European roads will begin in September 2017. All European automotive manufacturers and science partners, will have 1000 vehicles with 100 test drivers on public roads in 11 countries to test automated driving systems of SAE Level 3 and 4 under real conditions and in broad application. read more

Explore DENSE and RobustSENSE at the Digital Innovation Forum

AdaptIVe invites to automated driving demonstrations in Aachen

| Europe’s largest research project on automated driving – AdaptIVe – cordially invites to the Final Event in Aachen on June 28 and 29, 2017. Join the project for first-hand experience of automated driving on motorways, in urban scenarios and in a multi-level parking garage. AdaptIVe partners will showcase automated driving functions on public roads and in a simulated urban environment in nine vehicles - passenger cars and one truck. read more

EICT meets Israeli “Start-up-Students”

| From September 11 until 22, the European Innovation Hub toured Berlin with 30 students from COLMAN - College of Management Academic Studies Israel under the motto “Berlin Innovation-Tour”. During these 10 days the MBA students focused on smart city concepts and social entrepreneurship. Announcement: TEAM Final Event in Berlin, Germany

Time to act

TEAM Business Modelling Workshop

RobustSENSE kick-off in Wiesbaden

| This kick-off meeting marks the start of the technical work in the RobustSENSE project. 13 European partners from 5 different countries develop a sensor platform that provides environment information “robust” enough for automated or autonomous driving. Today’s driver assistance systems stop working under adverse weather conditions due to reduced sensor information quality. RobustSENSE wants to change that. read more

eCo-Fev’s final event a success

| Nearly 50 representatives of industry, academia and authorities joined the eCo-FEV final event on May 22nd, 2015 in Grenoble, France which was efficiently carried out in a single day. eCo-FEV successfully demonstrated the supply of ICT services to a real user under real conditions and on public domain. In the morning, speeches and presentations during a conference informed about the eCo-FEV achievements. Starting by noon, driving demonstrations provided the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the eCo-FEV systems. read more

Announcement: eCo-FEV Final Event in Grenoble, France

| On May 22, 2015, eCo-FEV performs the project’s final event on the Minatec campus in Grenoble, France. The eCo-FEV project aims to achieve a breakthrough by introducing Fully Electric Vehicles (FEVs) in everyday traffic. eCo-FEV enables precise Electric Vehicle telematics services and charging management services, which are based on reliable real time information. EICT is carrying out the operational management of the project and is part of the core management team. read more

Several switch and router vendors are opening up their hardware, offering APIs to allow for “software defined” control of networking operations. | At a meeting with Dr. Ulrike Struwe, head of the “Go MINT!“ office, and Prof. Dr. Susanne Ihsen, deputy managing director of the Competence Center Technology-Diversity-Equal Chances, Tanja Kessel signed the memorandum for the EICT GmbH. The national pact for women in MINT-occupations “Go MINT!” has set itself the target of enthusing girls and young women with scientific-technical university courses and occupations to exploit the potential of women in sciences. They try to convey a realistic picture of scientific and engineering occupations and point out chances for women in this field. read more

PTV Group is new shareholder of the EICT GmbH

| Berlin/Karlsruhe, March 13th 2013 - The EICT GmbH, a public private partnership of leading ICT partners from scientific, applied research and industrial institutions was able to win over the PTV Group as a new shareholder. Tanja Kessel, managing director of EICT GmbH, and Dr. Thomas Schwerdtfeger, PTV Group board member, signed the new agreement today.
